Mayor Vaslo - What are you doing about Dix Auto Parts?
Dear Mayor Vaslo:
After morning coffee, the wife and I were returning home and drove by Dix Auto Parts. The building is STILL a burned out hulk.
The building burned back in June of 2009, but still it stands like it burned yesterday.
Why is it not on your Dangerous Building List? If the current owners do not want to make the necessary repairs, it should be torn down. If the owners won't tear it down, the city needs to. A quick look says it would not take much to tear it down, just a nudge from one of your infamous backhoe's.
It is bad enough the city of Lincoln Park has so many empty buildings, but is it really necessary to allow a burned out building to sit for over a year?
Your campaign postcards tend to say you personally saved the city of Lincoln Park. Then what are you doing about this building? I bet Mr Clemente or Mr Liberati would not have let it sit for over a year.
Please do your job Mayor Vaslo. Tell your Building Department to get over to the property and take the proper actions to condemn it.

Slow down and actually write what your thinking
You should proof read your post Mr. Magoo!! Your hands can't keep up with your mind. LOL
P.S.
Is it possible that there may be insurance issues related to rebuilding this building?
Yes! Did you consider this at all? No! If you are so concerned and before spewing off without knowing facts. How about heading over there and asking the owner or a phone call inquiring about the situation as a concerned citizen. Seeing as you seem SOOOOO concerned!!! You don't even live in LP do you? This is the sort of BS that is unnecessary unless you have facts to back up your statements! You totally speculate in regards to Clemente or Liberati and that is just being a bad citizen attempting to smear someone without knowing a single fact. Sure the building is still a burned out shell but for what reason, you have no clue. Rather irresponsible to speak of something you know nothing about. Especially at someone Else's expense. Rings of gossip mongering!!
If you're so concerned. Write a letter directly to Vaslo's office!! Or better yet. Go to a city council meeting and step up to the podium and ask about it!! You should be able to get some facts THAT way!! Have you actually checked the "danger" (sic) buildings list? Do you know what criteria needs to be met to be ON the list? When you find out ALL these facts (or any facts for that matter). THEN come back here and update us, Mr. Concerned for the safety of LP citizens Magoo. Geeeesh!!
