I regularly went to this business a number of years ago and had no problem - granted, I was buying crickets for my frogs, and then I was out. Back then, I enjoyed it.
I've been there several times recently and my suggestion is to avoid buying pets there. When I've gone, the birds' water is dirty and yellow as though it hasn't been changed in days. Many of these cages only have a few birds in them. As a bird owner myself, I know that water that filthy is not just an "it happens throughout the day" sort of issue.
Their fish look half-dead to me. Against my better judgment, I bought a betta there because I... [Read More]

It was one of the few positive things about this city.
The council decided to take it away from Councilman Higgins because they wanted to take the "politics" out of the program.
They turned it over to the Chamber of Commerce.
Taking out the politics and then turning it over to the Chamber was one of the biggest laughs I have ever had. Ever member of that thing is related to a local politician.
Well, the Chamber handed out a couple of awards and then the program went belly up.
Terrific article in Metromode, today, on the Mellus. However, please note that I am not an architect as the article states. I studied Architecture and Interior Architecture at LTU and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Architecture.
I was also on Channel 4 11 pm news last night on Mellus. Unfortuntely, they do not have it up on their website.
Just wanted to let everyone know that Fergie's has some great Breakfast and Lunch Specials, if you haven't tried them in a while you should. Things are tough for our small businesses' they need your help. Terry from A.S.A.P Signs and I have coffee there almost every morning, and its a shame to see the place empty at times.
I think their breakfast special right now is $2.99 you can hardly cook it for that cheap, and it much better then a McDonald's meal.

I have been working on the new website for a couple of months and while it is still a work in progress I felt that enough was there to replace the old site.
One unfortunate part of this upgrade is that all who signed up as members are lost but I am working on a bridge that will automatically make forum members members of allDownRiver! as well.
During the January 4, 2010 council meeting regarding the closure of the Harrison Bridge, Disanto asked why no one from the city of Lincoln Park as in Duchane (as directed by the council in council meetings of September, October & November of 2009) about the bridge condition and whether or not the city of Wyandotte would kick in for the repairs.
During council meetings in September, October and November 2009, the city council directed Duchane to make contact with the city of Wyandotte regarding the repairs to the Harrison Bridge. With Disanto, Myers & Murphy leading the pack to ensure that all avenues were pursued,... [Read More]

Washington, D.C. – The FBI today reminds Internet users who receive appeals to donate money in the aftermath of Tuesday's earthquake in Haiti to apply a critical eye and do their due diligence before responding to those requests. Past tragedies and natural disasters have prompted individuals with criminal intent to solicit contributions purportedly for a charitable organization and/or a good cause.... [Read More]
I heard a nasty little rumor that a man was found dead in a private room at the Hustler Club. Is there any truth to this? I'm wondering if it is a tale spun out of control from the girl found unconscious in the bathroom. Anyone got any info on this one?
MustafaAalanabi, one of the drag racers (the other guy was Reynalds and he is in jail) responsibile for the death of Denise Jones was on AMW tonight, he jumped bail and last seen in Dubai.

Drove by Quizno's on Dix yesterday and saw a sign out front that said they were having an auction for the business items on the inside of the premises. The signs on both doors say "closed'. I an not surprised, to me they were a bit pricey. Not long ago, they started some $5.00 specials, but guess it was too late. I live close by them and never did see that much business. Too bad for our city. :(:(
